-RTD sensor is attractive by its stability during the lifetime. Besides, it has wide temperature range, high accuracy and thus it becomes more popular in general home appliance. Sealing with silicone offers nice barrier between the wire and pipe, therefore it can be used in high humidity place, such as steamer. Teflon cable has fair wire protection and mechanical strength.
